Ricky Craven won the 2003 Darlington 500 with * just * 0.002 seconds separating him and Kurt Busch. Seriously, that's a hair-raising gap. But surely something closer, four-wheels or otherwise, has happened, right?

Holy shit 4-wide!
Actually, I've viewed the clip a couple of times, but... talk about biding time and having patience. And trust in aero.

Not as close, but still the closest in the history of rallycross. 0.005 seconds separating Petter Solberg and Mattias Ekström is crazy close when you have in mind that they're probably half the speed at a completely different course.

I know for a fact that this is the closest finish in the history of NASCAR, but I'm not sure about any other form of Motorsport.
